Overview

Drum-Tuning.com is a free, client-side drum tuning calculator. We do not require any account, login, or personal information to use the calculator. This policy explains what limited data may be collected when you visit the site.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information directly. No forms, no sign-ups, no accounts. Your drum kit configuration is saved only in your own browser's localStorage and is never transmitted to any server.

Advertising

Drum-Tuning.com is supported by display advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised ads by visiting Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details.

Cookies

We use functional cookies to remember your drum kit settings (via browser localStorage). Third-party advertising partners may set their own cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

Analytics

With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used — for example, which features are most popular. This data is anonymous and not linked to any individual user. PostHog is only activated after you grant analytics consent through the Google consent dialog shown on your first visit (for EEA, UK, and US visitors). You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Third-Party Links

This site may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. Because Drum-Tuning.com does not collect personally identifiable information directly, there is very little data associated with you that we hold. However, we want to be transparent about the rights available to you.

EEA and UK residents — GDPR rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction — you can ask us to restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability — you can request that we provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. analytics cookies), you can withdraw it at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK, or your national supervisory authority in the EEA).

California residents — CCPA / CPRA rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know — you can request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete — you can request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to correct — you can request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information. Third-party advertising partners (Google AdSense) may use cookies for interest-based advertising; you can opt out via Google's Ads Settings or optoutmechanism.com.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of the rights above, please contact us via our Contact page. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30 days for GDPR, 45 days for CCPA). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
